From Osh, ICG covers the five Central Asian states - Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan - focusing on the region’s main security challenges: drug smuggling, border and resource disputes, corruption, extremism and heavy-handed repression of opponents.
