Gulchehra Askarova is from Osh, Kyrgyzstan. She received her degree from the Uzbek State University of World Languages in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Before joining ICG in March 2002, she managed an English Teaching Center, helping people learn English and computer skills. She also has some experience in the field of mercury mining and in beverage and beer production. She speaks English, Russian, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, French and Turkish.
