Levi Ochieng

Levi Ochieng Joined ICG as analyst for the Central Africa Project on August 1, 2003. Prior to this, Levi had worked as a consultant with ICG in the same region since 2000.  A Ugandan by Nationality, he holds an Honours Degree in Mass Communication from Makerere University, and has written extensively  in newspapers in Uganda and East Africa on political issues in the Great lakes region since 1997. In 2002, he contributed in research and writing to a book on Peace and Tolerance in Uganda. He also holds other professional qualifications in education, international relations, international journalism, and investigative reporting. Levi travelled widely inside the DRC during the second war that broke out in August 1998 and wrote articles for German and South African newspapers before joining ICG. Recently he took time off to study the US foreign Policy Making Process.
