Heather Hurlburt
Heather Hurlburt comes to the ICG from five years as a speechwriter for President Clinton and Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright and Warren Christopher. Previously, she ran the public speakers program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, writing and speaking herself on European conflict prevention, human rights and security issues. From 1990-1994, she was a staff adviser to the U.S. Helsinki Commission and a member of the U.S. Delegation to the OSCE. Widely traveled in Europe, Africa and Latin America, Ms. Hurlburt was educated at Brown University and holds a MA from the George Washington University.
