Assisting ICG
The International Crisis Group places great emphasis on maintaining a diverse funding base in order to ensure the independence of its work. The organisation already receives funding from sixteen national governments and a growing number of charitable foundations, companies and private individuals. We want to expand this list further over the coming year, to bring in more governments and to boost the overall proportion of funding coming from the private sector.
If you would like to discuss making a donation to ICG, please contact Vice-President Jon Greenwald in Brussels, Vice-President Charles Radcliffe in Paris, Director of Programs Carole Corcoran in New York or Jan Hensley, Development Director in Washington DC (see contacts below). Alternatively, if you would like to make a donation directly, please send a cheque or money order to either our Brussels or Washington offices. Please note that, in the United States, all donations to ICG are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
For more information, please see ICG Funding.
Working for ICG
ICG is expanding, click here for current vacancies.
If you would like to apply for employment as a field analyst with the International Crisis Group, please send a C.V. and cover letter by email to [email protected]. Alternatively, applications may be mailed or faxed to Ms Blair Blackwell, Executive Assistant to the President, International Crisis Group, 149 Avenue Louise, 1050 Brussels. Fax: +32 (0)2 502 50 38. The key selection criteria for ICG analysts are the following:
- highly developed and demonstrated research, analytical and writing skills;
- ability to speak relevant local languages as well as fluency in English; and
- strong background knowledge and experience of the country or area concerned.
Please indicate, in your application, the country(ies) where you would be willing to serve, your availability, you broad salary expectations and whether you are interested in long-term or short-term placement.
If your application meets all of the above criteria, your details will be entered into ICG's database of individuals interested in future employment and you will be contacted by ICG and informed of upcoming employment opportunities as positions become available.
Please note that due to the overwhelming volume of applications received, and limited staff resources to cope with the administrative workload associated with processing applications, it may take some time for us to respond. It is also impossible for us to respond personally to every applicant.
